This marks the 8th Season for BASF Refinish partaking in one of the world’s most exciting motorsports, drifting. Again this year we teamed up with Bridges Racing from California with their sweet Nissan S13 Drift Car.

Formula Drift:Round 7 – Title Fight
FORMULA DRIFT: ROUND 7 – TITLE FIGHT
OCTOBER 8-9, 2010
Round 7 – Every driver went all out at the finale of Formula DRIFT 2010 at the Toyota Speedway in Irwindale, CA. Tickets to the event were completely sold out. The finale was packed with tons of excitement and non-stop action. It was also the first drifting event that was filmed in 3D by DirecTV.
Ken Gushi started the day qualifying 20th in the Top 32. This put him up against Justin Pawlak with the Falken Tire Ford Mustang. In the first run of the tandem battle, Gushi gave chase to Pawlak. He stuck to him on the bank, but was unable to keep the gap tight after the transition. On the second run, Gushi lead and charged hard, but was not able to shake Pawlak off resulting in Pawlak advancing to the top 16.
This left Gushi in the 15th position overall in the Formula DRIFT 2010 season. Gushi will be ready for the next season and as he puts it, he’ll be “coming back for the 2011 season an angry pissed off mad driver”.
